Adopt-A-School Program Overview
The Junior League of Mobile is dedicated to addressing education, health and well-being for school-aged children in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. As part of this effort, we will be selecting an elementary or middle school partner for our Adopt-A-School Program. The partnership will entail Junior League of Mobile providing financial assistance and essential supplies that support classroom learning and student success. This initiative does not include direct volunteer placement but aligns with our mission by addressing a critical resource gap in our local schools.
All public schools in Mobile and Baldwin Counties, serving grades PreK-8, may apply.
- Program includes a budget of up to $7,000 to be utilized in agreement between League representatives and school personnel. Funds may not be used for the following: field trips, renovation or upkeep of school facilities or grounds. If more than one school is chosen, the $7,000 will be allocated across selected schools by Junior League of Mobile leadership.
- The primary school contact should be someone who has knowledge of school processes and activities, such as a counselor or assistant principal. This person must be capable of making decisions for the program.
- Please list all additional anticipated or confirmed financial assistance that your school is receiving on the application. This includes assistance that has not been confirmed and potential funding, such as federal funding. Such assistance will not disqualify your school, but will be taken into consideration. It is our goal to assist campuses that have the most crucial financial needs.
- On-line applications must be completed and submitted no later than July 26. 2026. The application is below.
- Applications will be reviewed by a committee of League members, with involvement from the Board of Directors. Announcement of the winner will be during August, 2026. Please email any questions concerning the application process to: community@juniorleaguemobile.org
